Guwahati, 24th September: In an anti-drug operation conducted by the Barpathar Police in Assam’s Golaghat, a woman involved in drug trafficking was apprehended. During the raid, 176 grams of heroin concealed within 14 soapboxes were confiscated.
The discovery was made during a nighttime bus journey from Dimapur to Tinsukia. The arrested individual has been identified as Niazum Muniak from Dimapur, and the seized heroin is estimated to have a market value of Rs 15 lakh.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug-related activities in the region.
