Gujarat Police Seize 80 kg of Cocaine Worth Rs 800 Crores in Massive Drug Haul

National Desk, 29th September: In a significant drug seizure, the Gujarat Police confiscated 80 kilograms of cocaine valued at Rs 800 crores in Kutch, according to reports.

Sources revealed that the cocaine was discovered dumped on the banks of Mithi Rohar village in Kutch.

During a routine coastal patrol, police officers stumbled upon 80 packets of cocaine, each weighing approximately one kilogram. It is suspected that the smugglers abandoned the contraband out of fear of being apprehended.

Sagar Bagmar, the Superintendent of Police for Kutch East, confirmed this new modus operandi employed by international drug mafias. Instead of directly handing over the consignment to local receivers, they opt to leave the narcotics at isolated locations.

Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Nevertheless, as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. This significant drug seizure underscores the ongoing challenges posed by drug trafficking and the need for vigilant law enforcement efforts to combat the drug trade effectively.
