Guwahati Police Apprehends Mobile Phone Thieves, Including Juvenile, in Jalukbari
Guwahati, 2nd October: In response to a surge in mobile phone snatching incidents within the city, the Guwahati Police successfully apprehended four individuals, including a juvenile, involved in mobile phone theft. The arrests were made in the Jalukbari area on Sunday night.
The West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) received critical intelligence information, leading them to initiate an operation in the Jalukbari Outpost region. As a result, they managed to apprehend a gang of four individuals responsible for stealing and selling mobile phones.
The arrested suspects include Gobinda Singh Maheto (31), Laxman Singh (25), and Nageshwar Nuniya (34), all of whom are from Jharkhand. In addition to the arrests, the police also recovered a total of 16 stolen mobile phones, which included prestigious brands such as iPhone and OnePlus.
