Assam: AJYCP Protest Against Power Issues and Fee Hikes in Kaliabor
Guwahati, 3rd October: In a strong display of discontent, members of Assam’s Kaliabor district committee of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad took to the streets in protest against the recurring power outages and substantial electricity fee hikes.
The student union staged their demonstration by blocking National Highway No. 37 (A) in Tinali, Kaliabor, where they vocally criticized the government’s actions and burned an effigy of Power Minister Nandita Garlosa. This protest led to a one-hour blockage of the national highway as the students expressed their concerns and demands.
