Guwahati, 3rd October: In a swift operation conducted by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DIR_VAC) in Assam, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Hitush Nath of Abdullapur Police Patrol Post in Hailakandi District was apprehended red-handed.
Nath was caught in the act of accepting a bribe amounting to Rs. 10,000 with the promise of mediating and resolving a dispute between two parties. This operation is a significant step towards combating corruption within the law enforcement agencies.
