Assam: Newborn declared dead comes back to life at Silchar Hospital
Guwahati, 4th October: In a shocking turn of events at the Lifeline Nursing Home in Assam’s Silchar, a newborn who had initially been declared dead by doctors following birth miraculously revived at a crematorium.
The tale began when a woman from Satla Ratanpur, Silchar, was admitted to the Life Line Nursing Home due to labor pains. Late into the night, she gave birth to a baby girl. Tragically, the attending doctors initially informed the family that the newborn had not survived childbirth.
In response to this heartbreaking news, the family proceeded to take the seemingly lifeless infant to the Silchar crematorium. However, just as the cremation ceremony was about to commence, the newborn displayed signs of life, leaving everyone in shock.
The family hurriedly rushed the infant back to the nursing home, and the resilient newborn is now receiving medical care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Dr. AF NUMAN, a physician at the hospital, has officially confirmed this extraordinary incident. He explained that the expectant mother had arrived at the hospital after six days in a medical college, with her unborn child at just six months of gestation. Both mother and child were in extremely critical condition upon admission. The newborn, weighing only 500 grams at birth, had initially been declared dead due to the absence of a heartbeat. Presently, the child is undergoing intensive medical treatment, and the story of its revival has captivated many.
