Meghalaya’s ICCC to be completed by March 2024
Northeast Desk, 6th October: Meghalaya’s Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, who oversees the Urban Affairs department, has reported that the Smart City Project, comprising 17 projects, is progressing well.
Dhar stated to the press that the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) is scheduled for completion by March 2024, after which implementation will commence.
He also expressed confidence in completing the other projects, such as the Laitumkhrah market, Polo market, multilevel parking, smart road, and more, by June 2024.
In September, Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh, the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, visited the STEMS Bus shed construction site at Malki Point, Shillong.
This project, funded by the Planning Department and executed by the PWD, aims to enhance public transportation infrastructure, providing shelter from adverse weather conditions for commuters, and ensuring a more comfortable waiting experience.
