Guwahati: 8th October: A potentially catastrophic incident was averted during a boat racing incident in Assam when a boat capsized on October 8 at Malibari in Nagarbera of Kamrup (Rural) district.
The incident occurred during a boat race on the Jaljali River in Malibari.
The ill-fated boat began to sink in the midst of the race, and all of the boatsmen were thrown into the water.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, as a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was present at the scene and managed to rescue all of the boatsmen in a timely manner.
Quick response from the SDRF team, all the individuals on the sinking boat were brought to safety without any injuries or casualties.
The incident has sparked curiosity and concern among the public, with many questioning how such an incident could occur during a boat race.
