Eden Hazard Retires from Football at the Age of 32
Sports Desk, 10th October: Eden Hazard, one of the most talented footballers of his generation, has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32. The Belgian forward had been struggling with injuries in recent years, and he has decided to call time on his career after a disappointing spell at Real Madrid.
Hazard rose to prominence at Lille, where he won the Ligue 1 title in 2011. He then joined Chelsea, where he became one of the best players in the Premier League. He won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and a Europa League title with the Blues.
In 2019, Hazard joined Real Madrid for a club-record fee of £150 million. However, he failed to live up to expectations in Spain, and he was plagued by injuries. He won the La Liga title in 2022, but he made just 72 appearances in four seasons at the club.
Hazard also had a successful international career, winning 126 caps for Belgium. He was part of the Belgian team that finished third at the 2018 World Cup.
Hazard’s retirement is a major loss for football. He was one of the most exciting and talented players of his generation, and he will be remembered for his dribbling skills, creativity, and goalscoring ability.
