Kaziranga National Park in Assam to Reopen for 2023-24 Season
Guwahati, 12th October: Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam is set to reopen for the 2023-24 season on October 15, as confirmed by an official statement.
Due to the current road conditions resulting from inclement weather, the park will be partially open, specifically for Jeep Safari, in two ranges – Kaziranga Range, Kohora, and Western Range, Bagori, according to the Divisional Forest Officer of Eastern Assam Wildlife Division.
However, it’s important to note that both the Kaziranga Range, Kohora, and Western Range, Bagori will remain closed every Wednesday afternoon. Tourists will currently be allowed to travel up to Bimoli Tiniali via Donga Tower under Western Range, Bagori, and from Mihimukh via Daflang Tower via Vaichamari Junction under Kaziranga Range, Kohora until further notification or orders.
Kaziranga National Park typically closes from May to October due to concerns about Brahmaputra river floods, making this reopening a much-anticipated event for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
