Assam CM shares bird’s eye view of Shraddhanjali flyover on X, to inaugurate on Oct 19

Guwahati, 18th October: The state of Assam is witnessing a rapid transformation in its skyline, with the latest addition being the splendid Shraddhanjali Flyover in Guwahati’s Zoo Road. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to the social media platform ‘X’ to share a bird’s eye view of the newly constructed flyover with the public.

In a recent post on the platform, CM Sarma revealed that the new Shraddhanjali Flyover is scheduled to be opened for the public on October 19, 2023. The Chief Minister shared captivating drone shots of the flyover, highlighting the city’s changing landscape.

Sharing a few drone shots, CM Sarma wrote on ‘X’, “Guwahati’s skyline is undergoing a rapid transformation. The Shraddhanjali Flyover will be dedicated to the people tomorrow.”

CM Sarma expressed optimism that this new addition to Guwahati’s infrastructure will significantly alleviate traffic congestion on RG Baruah Road for the next two decades. The flyover boasts three lanes on each side, ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhanced connectivity. Importantly, one of these lanes will redirect traffic towards Geeta Mandir.

Furthermore, the designers and engineers have ensured that the project accommodates the ever-growing demand by creating a carriageway beneath the flyover on both sides, effectively making it a seven-lane structure.

A fitting tribute to the city and its residents, the flyover has been aptly named the Shraddhanjali Flyover, dedicated to the memory of those who have left us.

With this new addition, Assam looks forward to a future marked by better connectivity and less congestion in one of its key cities, Guwahati.
