Assam Cabinet Minister Survives Near-Death Experience in Chopper Emergency Landing

Guwahati, 18th October: Assam cabinet minister Jayanta Mallabaruah experienced a life-threatening incident on Wednesday when his helicopter encountered a technical snag mid-air.

Mallabaruah, the Assam cabinet minister for public health engineering, skill development employment and entrepreneurship, and tourism, had been returning from a trip to South Salmara-Mankachar district.

During the return trip, the helicopter experienced an engine failure while still in flight, with one of the engines reportedly ceasing to function.

This situation posed an emergency and a significant risk to the life of the minister.

However, the flying crew’s quick thinking and decisive actions averted any potential disaster. The helicopter made an emergency landing at Borjhar Airport, ensuring the safety of the cabinet minister.

Further details regarding the incident are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. The minister’s well-being and the circumstances surrounding the technical issue will be clarified following the investigation.
