Northeast Desk, 26th October: In a significant development aimed at enhancing security in the region, security forces carried out successful search operations in Manipur’s Churachandpur district on October 25, leading to the confiscation of arms and ammunition. The operation was conducted based on actionable intelligence inputs, proving the efficiency and vigilance of the security apparatus.
The search operations were executed at a mobile check post located in the vulnerable and fringe areas of Churachandpur district. As a result, a cache of arms and ammunition was discovered, with two individuals subsequently apprehended in possession of these items.
Furthermore, to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the region’s inhabitants, a total of 131 checkpoints were established in various districts across Manipur, encompassing both the hill and valley areas. In conjunction with these efforts, the police detained 2,232 individuals for their involvement in violations occurring in different parts of the state.
The successful operations conducted by the security forces and law enforcement are instrumental in curbing unlawful activities and fortifying the security situation within Manipur.
