Guwahati, 26th October: A consignment of suspected brown sugar concealed in 15 soap boxes has been seized by Assam Police on October 25 at Khanka, Parija Path, Guwahati.
As per reports, a search operation conducted by a team from the Hatigaon Police Station in East Guwahati led to the discovery of approximately 192 grams of suspected brown sugar.
The team of police arrested 3 peddlers identified as Mariam Khatun, Nurul Amin and Somez Uddin.
The arrested peddlers are all residents of Chaygaon.
The arrested individuals have been placed in custody and the necessary legal procedures are being pursued against them.
