Vice President lands in Guwahati, CM, Guv accord warm welcome

Guwahati, 30th October: In a one-day visit to Guwahati, Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar was warmly received at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) by the Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria, and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. They greeted him with a bouquet and Assamese Gamosa as a symbol of hospitality.

The Vice President’s schedule for the day commenced with a one-hour interactive session involving professors, students, and staff at the University. Following this, he is set to attend a convocation ceremony at Royal Global University and a felicitation program at Radisson Blu Guwahati.

Notably, Guwahati Traffic Police has issued a notice outlining specific vehicle movement restrictions for the day to ensure public safety during the Vice President’s visit.
