Gujarat: Bus Carrying 50 SRP Personnel Overturns in Panchmahal District, Several Injured
National Desk, 31st October: A bus transporting 50 State Reserve Police (SRP) personnel was involved in an accident in the hilly region of Halol, located in Gujarat’s Panchmahal district on October 30.
The accident resulted in injuries to nearly all of the passengers, with nine personnel sustaining severe injuries.
It is reported that the accident occurred due to brake failure, causing the bus to overturn as the driver lost control.
The SRP personnel were returning to Dahod after a three-day firing training session at the foothills of Pavagadh.
Police Inspector RA Jadeja explained that 38 personnel were injured in the accident and were initially taken to a referral hospital in Halol.
After receiving primary treatment, 29 were discharged, while the nine with more serious injuries were referred to a government hospital in Vadodara for further medical care.
