Prestone Tynsong Takes the Helm as NPP Meghalaya State President
Northeast Desk, 31st October: Following the resignation of Dr. WR Kharlukhi, the National People’s Party (NPP) has appointed Prestone Tynsong as the new State President for Meghalaya. The announcement was made at the NPP headquarters in Shillong, where Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was present to introduce the new state president.
Dr. W R Kharlukhi, a Rajya Sabha member, stepped down from the post of NPP state president, citing his age as the reason for his resignation. Conrad Sangma expressed gratitude for Kharlukhi’s dedicated service and highlighted his long-standing association with the NPP. Sangma conveyed his faith in Prestone Tynsong’s leadership and expressed best wishes for the new state president.
