Northeast Desk, 1st November: Former Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim, Justice Narendra Kumar Jain, has presented the findings of the judicial inquiry into the unnatural death of Padam Gurung, the Student Representative Council (SRC) member from Sikkim Government College in Kamrang.
This significant report was submitted to Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang in the presence of high-ranking officials, including Chief Secretary V.B Pathak and Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department Secretary Suraj Chettri.
The State Government had appointed Justice Jain to head this one-man Commission for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Padam Gurung’s demise.
