Northeast Desk, 2nd November: The District Magistrate of Imphal East and Imphal West have eased curfew restrictions to allow the general public to purchase essential items, including medicines and food.
According to the directive, the movement restrictions for the general public in all areas of Imphal West and Imphal East districts will be lifted on November 2, 2023, from 10 am to 6 pm. However, it’s essential to note that this relaxation doesn’t permit gatherings, sit-in protests, rallies, etc., without prior approval from the competent authority.
Nevertheless, individuals engaged in essential services like Health, Electricity, PHED, Petrol Pumps, Schools/Colleges, Municipality, Press and Electronic Media, functioning of courts, and the to-and-fro movement of flight passengers to the airport, along with Contractors and Workers holding valid Airport Entry Permit (AEP) Cards, are exempt from the curfew restrictions.
