Assam: Massive Fire Destroys Ten Rented Houses in Margherita
Guwahati, 2nd November: A massive fire erupted around 11:00 am on the morning of November 2 in Assam’s Margherita, resulting in the complete destruction of ten rented houses belonging to Md Zakir Ali Khan.
The fire broke out near the A’R & T Company veneer mill in Margherita.
While the precise cause of the fire remains uncertain, local residents suspect either a short circuit or a burst LPG cylinder may be responsible.
A fire tender vehicle was dispatched to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, but the ten rented houses were tragically reduced to ashes.
This incident has sent shockwaves through the Margherita area, prompting a swift response from the authorities.
The Margherita police, Margherita sub-divisional administration (civil), and Margherita Municipal Board arrived at the site to assess the situation. The community is left reeling from this unfortunate event.
