Mizoram polls 2023: ZPM rules out alliance with any party

Northeast Desk, 2nd November: Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) working president K. Sapdanga has unequivocally stated that the party will not enter into an alliance with the BJP. Speaking at the Aizawl Press Club, he made it clear that the party is not considering a coalition government at the moment, as ZPM is confident in its ability to independently form the next government in Mizoram.

Sapdanga addressed accusations from other opposition parties that ZPM and the BJP have a covert agreement, particularly as the BJP has been adamant about forming the next government. The ZPM has opted not to form a coalition with the BJP, as decided by the executive of the party’s highest authority body.

He emphasized that while ZPM’s leaders and candidates may not be the most knowledgeable, they are the most dedicated to forming the next government, a sentiment shared by the electorate. The party stands firm in its decision not to form a coalition government with the BJP under any circumstances.
