Guwahati, 3rd November: A distressing incident occurred in Guwahati’s Beltola, where a woman from Arunachal Pradesh was subjected to racist abuse and assault by another woman. The incident took place at a shopping outlet on November 1.
Reportedly, the incident unfolded while the victim was waiting in line at the checkout counter. Another woman allegedly cut in front of the victim, leading to an objection from the victim. In response, the woman who barged in hurled racist slurs at the victim and physically assaulted her.
The victim recorded the incident on her smartphone, capturing the abusive behavior and assault. The video has since gone viral on social media. The victim has taken action by filing a complaint at the Basistha police station, seeking justice for the incident.
