Northeast Desk, 5th November: In an ongoing effort to ensure safety and security in vulnerable regions of Manipur, security forces successfully seized a substantial cache of sophisticated arms and ammunition in Imphal West.
Search operations, which transpired on November 4, were carried out by security forces across Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Kangpokpi districts. During these operations, a significant quantity of arms and ammunition was discovered, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The seized items included two arms, one SLR with a magazine, and one Muzzle Loading Rifle. Additionally, one Carbine Magazine and one Wireless radio set were recovered from the Loiching range in Kangpokpi District.
Security forces have also established checkpoints and continued naka checking at vulnerable areas as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the region.
