Guwahati, 6th November: In a tragic incident, a youth and district-level football player was electrocuted to death in Morigaon district of Assam on November 6.
The incident took place in Jagiroad.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Dhanjit Boro, was a resident of Jagiroad.
Sources indicate that the electrocution occurred due to a short circuit while Dhanjit was charging his mobile phone in his own home.
Serious allegations have been raised against the electricity board regarding the transmission of high-voltage power in the area.
Local residents have also voiced their concerns, citing several recent incidents in the region attributed to high-voltage electricity supply.
