Nepal Earthquake: India Extends Emergency Aid Following Devastating Earthquake

National Desk, 6th November: In a display of goodwill and solidarity, India has swiftly dispatched an emergency aid package to its neighboring country, Nepal, which is still reeling from the recent magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck on November 3. The earthquake resulted in a tragic loss of lives and extensive damage to property. In response, India has sent medical equipment and relief materials to assist the affected communities, reaffirming its commitment to the “Neighbourhood First Policy” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The earthquake, which claimed the lives of 157 individuals and left many injured, prompted India to take on the role of the first responder by delivering essential medicines and relief materials to Nepal. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized India’s dedication to supporting its neighboring nations in times of crisis, stating, “Providing emergency relief assistance to earthquake affected areas of Nepal. As a first responder, India delivers medicines and relief material. PM @narendramodi’s Neighbourhood First policy in action.”
