Chhattisgarh: CRPF jawan on election duty injured in blast by Naxals in Sukma

National Desk, 7th November: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, serving in the Cobra battalion sustained injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast carried out by naxals while on election duty in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on November 7.

This incident occurred when he accidentally triggered the IED while on patrol. Fortunately, the jawan identified as Shrikant is now in a stable condition after receiving immediate first aid.

This incident follows a similar occurrence the day before when a Border Security Force (BSF) constable and two members of a polling team were wounded in an IED blast in Kanker.

The injured constable, Prakash Chand, was immediately transported to Chhotepethiya for medical treatment.
