Assam: One Arrested With Country made gun & ammunition recovered during operation in Hailakandi

Guwahati, 9th November: In a significant operation, the Laxminagar police in Hailakandi conducted a raid on November 8, resulting in the seizure of locally manufactured firearms and live ammunition.

The raid was carried out at the residence of one Abdul Qadir Barbhuiya, located in Paschim Kiwarband, within the jurisdiction of the Laxminagar police Chowki.

This proactive action was executed based on a tip-off received through prior intelligence, prompting Laxminagar police officials to immediately move into action.

Abdul Qadir Barbhuiya was apprehended and is currently undergoing questioning as part of an ongoing investigation.

The homemade firearms and live ammunition, discovered during the operation, have been secured by the police. This confiscation is a critical step in enhancing community safety and security in the region.
