According to S Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, Nepal received 12 tonnes of crucial relief supplies, such as blankets, sleeping bags, tents, and vital medical resources for families affected by the quake.

This consignment was ferried via a specialized Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130, marking the third such delivery of aid.

Jaishankar shared on X, “Flight #3 of @IAF_MCC carrying another 12 tonnes of relief material lands in Nepal. India will always remain a trusted and reliable partner.”

Since the November 3 earthquake, India has sent a total of 33 tonnes of emergency aid to Nepal through three dedicated IAF flights, being the first responder after the disaster struck.

The earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale with its epicenter in Nepal and occurring at a depth of around 10 kilometres, has resulted in over 150 casualties and 160 injuries.

Within a day of the quake, India promptly dispatched the initial batch of essential aid to support those affected in Nepal, with subsequent deliveries following suit, the second of which was transported to Nepalgunj via a specialized IAF C-130.
