Mizoram Assembly Election 2023: Repolling at 13-Muallungthu Polling Station Underway
Northeast Desk, 10th November: Repolling at the 13-Muallungthu polling station in Mizoram’s 20-Aizawl South III (ST) Assembly Constituency is underway in a peaceful manner. Commencing at 7 am, the repolling has witnessed 1,084 electors casting their votes by 9 am, with voting scheduled to conclude by 4 pm.
Authorities have reported no law and order issues, and the process has proceeded smoothly. Four candidates are vying for victory in the Aizawl South-III constituency.
The decision for repolling was based on a report submitted by the Returning Officer for the constituency. The overall voter turnout for Mizoram’s 2023 elections was approximately 77.73 percent, with Serchhip district leading in voter participation at 84.49 percent, followed by Mamit and Hnahthial districts. The Tuikum-27 assembly constituency recorded the highest voter turnout at 87.32 percent.
