Assam: One Arrested with Heroin worth Rs 1.2 crore during search operation in Baihata
Guwahati, 11th November: The sleuths of Special Task Force on the intervening night of November 10 intercepted a bus heading to Arunachal with bearing registration number AR 01Q 0757 at Assam’s Baihata and seized huge amount of heroin worth Rs 1.2 crore.
Based on specific information, the STF team, under the leadership of Additional SP, STF Kalyan Pathak, initiated an operation around 2:30 am on November 11.
They seized ten boxes of heroin and several vials, collectively weighing 150 grams (without covers), from a suspected peddler named Baten Ali from Bhergaon, Kalgachia.
The individual in question has been taken into custody and necessary legal procedures have been instigated against the person.
