Assam to Construct Kamakhya Temple in Maharashtra, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Announces

Guwahati, 13th November: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reveals plans for the construction of a Kamakhya Temple in Maharashtra. The state government has acquired a plot in Maharashtra for the development of Maa Kamakhya Devalaya. CM Sarma shared that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, a devoted follower of Maa Kamakhya, has expressed support for the project.

“Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Ji is a great bhakt of Maa Kamakhya. When Shinde Ji came here in Assam, I requested him, expressing our desire to construct One Namghar and Maa Kamakhya Temple in Maharashtra. Then Shinde Ji told me to come to Mumbai once and discuss the project, thereafter land will be provided for the same,” said CM Sarma.

While the initial plan included a plot of land in Mumbai, the Chief Minister is optimistic about receiving additional land for the project following discussions with CM Shinde. The announcement reflects the deepening bond between the two states in fostering devotion to Maa Kamakhya.
