Sikkim: Bhaichung Bhutia Joins ‘Save Sikkim’ Mission, Merges Hamro Sikkim Party with SDF

Northeast Desk, 23rd November: Former Indian footballer and politician Bhaichung Bhutia aligns with the ‘Save Sikkim’ mission led by former CM Pawan Chamling’s Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party. Chamling accuses the present government of corruption and favors contractors over Sikkimese interests.

Bhutia, during the event, symbolizes the merger by holding the SDF flag, signifying unity with Pawan Chamling’s political movement.

The ‘Save Sikkim’ mission aims to counter the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party led by CM PS Tamang.
