Assam Government Identifies Land for Mega Milk Processing Plants in Joint Venture with NDDB

Guwahati, 24th November: The Assam government, in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), has identified land at three locations for setting up mega milk processing plants, each with a capacity of one lakh litres per day.

The joint venture aims to establish a total of six such plants in different places across Assam, with land already identified in Cachar, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat.

This initiative, part of the Assam Dairy Development Plan, follows a historic agreement signed in January 2022, forming a Rs 2,000-crore joint venture between the government and NDDB to revolutionize the state’s dairy sector.
