Nagaland: NSCN (I-M) Accused of Becoming “Anti-Solution Group” by NNPGs Working Committee

Northeast Desk, 24th November: The Working Committee (WC) of Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) has accused the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) [NSCN (I-M)] of transforming into an “anti-solution group” and offering “ridiculous explanations.”

The WC alleges that NSCN (I-M) deviated from the agreed position by introducing the issues of flag and constitution, which were not part of the negotiations for the past 22 years.

The WC emphasizes that the Agreed Position (AP), signed on November 17, 2017, corrected political mistakes and reiterated Nagas’ political and historical rights to self-determination.

Additionally, the WC criticizes NSCN (I-M) for attacking Naga leaders, intellectuals, and activists in the media, asserting that those trying to suppress diverse thoughts are the real “anti-national elements.”

The WC accuses NSCN (I-M) of assassinating several Naga leaders labeled as “traitors standing in the way of Naga sovereignty.”

Prominent figures mentioned include the late Hollohon’s family, late Gen. Povezo Soho, late Chalie Kevichusa, NSCN general secretary Dally Mungro, and others.
