Assam: Fake Job Racket Busted in Dhubri Medical College and Hospital
Guwahati, 25th November: A fake job racket promising positions at Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) was exposed as police arrested two individuals involved. The arrests followed an FIR filed by Prof. (Dr.) Gunajit Das, DMCH Superintendent, after a person, Tarun Chandra Nath, presented a phony appointment letter for a ward boy position.
Further investigation revealed that Nath paid Rs. 2 lakhs to Saurabh Biswas, claiming to have connections at DMCH for arranging jobs. Both were arrested, with Biswas allegedly using a fake email ID and DMCH logo to deceive victims.
The college clarified it doesn’t offer jobs directly, and the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam Government, handles appointments. DMCH officials urged anyone approached by such individuals to report the matter to the police.
