Assam to Partner with Nagaland for upcoming Hornbill Festival
Guwahati, 28th November: In an announcement on November 28, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that Assam would be partnering with Nagaland for the upcoming Hornbill Festival.
Taking to platform X, CM Sarma wrote, “Hon’ble Chief Minister, it is an absolute privilege for Assam to join hands with Nagaland for the upcoming Hornbill Festival. This festival has emerged as one of the greatest platforms to showcase the shared cultural heritage of North East”.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio had previously disclosed the collaboration with Assam for the festival, known for vividly portraying Naga culture through traditional music, dance, and performances.
The Hornbill Festival, an annual grand celebration in Nagaland, Northeast India, attracts global attention with its captivating performances. Diverse tribes in Nagaland contribute to the festival’s vibrancy and entertainment.
