Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Distributes Scooters to Meritorious Students Under Pragyan Bharati Scheme
Guwahati, November 30: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed scooters to 35,770 meritorious students under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme. The distribution ceremony took place at the Veterinary College Field in Khanapara, Guwahati. The scooters were awarded to first-division students, both girls and boys, who secured 75% and above in their Class 12 examinations.
A total budget of Rs 25,954.29 lakh was allocated for providing scooters to the student beneficiaries under this scheme. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Sarma encouraged the students to cultivate a personality marked by a free spirit and positive thinking. He emphasized the importance of not forgetting their goals and maintaining focus during the crucial age group of 18-25.
Addressing the students, Sarma highlighted the sensitivity of this period and urged them to surround themselves with positive influences, avoiding distractions that might divert them from their aims. The initiative aims to support and empower students in their educational journey.
