Meghalaya: NPP’s Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh Vows to Spearhead ILP Advocacy in Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections
Northeast Desk, 1st December: Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, gearing up as the National People’s Party (NPP) candidate for the Shillong Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming 2024 elections, has firmly committed to leading the charge for the implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP). Lyngdoh declared that both she and Tura MP, along with the NPP, would fervently pursue this cause within the hallowed halls of Parliament.
“We will stir things up. Decisions will have to be made. I can assure you, our voices will resonate not just within the parliamentary chambers but across the entire spectrum of Parliament. We intend to thrust this agenda into the spotlight,” declared Lyngdoh, emphasizing her resolute stance and dedication to meaningful discussions with all stakeholders.
In response to the persistent criticism surrounding a CBI inquiry into an education scandal, Lyngdoh exhibited unwavering resolve. She affirmed her preparedness to face adversaries and expressed unwavering confidence in the triumph of truth. Clarifying that the case is currently sub judice, she refrained from providing further comments.
“Let no political party exploit this situation, attempting to portray it as a conviction. The truth will prevail. I stand by that. I shall refrain from elaborating further,” reiterated Lyngdoh, who also serves as the Health Minister.
Eyeing the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections, Lyngdoh outlined the NPP’s agenda. She underscored the importance of consolidating the party’s vote bank in the Shillong parliamentary seat. Moreover, she articulated her ambition to effectively address pending issues and agendas, transcending conventional party lines.
We now have to move past party lines, and it will be a great honor for me and my party if we can do that. For the greater good, we must transcend party borders,” Lyngdoh said, demonstrating her commitment to promoting collaboration across divides in politics.
