ZPM Prioritizes Agriculture for Mizoram, Anticipates Forming Independent Government

Northeast Desk, 4th December: The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) vice president, Dr. Kenneth Chawngliana, has outlined agriculture as the party’s top priority, emphasizing the focus on achieving self-sufficiency in food production. With ZPM leading in over 20 seats, poised for a majority and potential independent government formation, Dr. Chawngliana highlighted key areas, including agriculture, electricity, communication, and addressing the concerns of the younger generation.

As Mizoram experiences a political shift, ZPM’s commitment to agricultural development and food security reflects a strategic approach to address the state’s fundamental needs. The party’s anticipated focus on core sectors aligns with its mission to meet the aspirations of the people and foster sustainable growth.

ZPM’s significant lead in the election results positions the party to play a pivotal role in shaping Mizoram’s future policies and initiatives. With over 80% voter turnout, the election witnessed active participation from the state’s electorate, signaling a collective interest in the direction and development of Mizoram.
