Mizoram Election 2023: ZPM Leader Lalduhoma to Meet Governor, Anticipates Swearing-In Within the Month

Northeast Desk, 46th December: Lalduhoma, the Chief Ministerial face of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), has announced plans to meet Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati to stake a claim to form the government. Expressing confidence in ZPM’s victory, Lalduhoma anticipates the swearing-in ceremony for the new government to take place within the current month.

Addressing the financial challenges facing Mizoram, Lalduhoma acknowledged the existing financial crisis inherited from the outgoing government. Emphasizing the need for financial reform, he outlined plans to establish a resource mobilization team to address the economic situation in the state.

As ZPM secures a substantial lead with 27 seats, positioning itself for government formation, the party’s leaders are gearing up to assume key responsibilities and fulfill their commitment to the people of Mizoram. With over 80% voter turnout in the recent elections, the state awaits the formation of a new government to address its pressing challenges and steer the course of development.
