Mizoram: ZPM Leader Lalduhoma Wins from Serchhip Constituency

Northeast Desk, 4th December: Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) leader Lalduhoma has emerged victorious from the Serchhip constituency in the Mizoram Assembly elections. As the chief ministerial face of ZPM, Lalduhoma secured his seat in the Mizoram Assembly, defeating his main rival MNF candidate J Malsawmzualvanchhawng.

Lalduhoma’s win adds to the success of ZPM in the elections, positioning the party to form the government in Mizoram. The ZPM has taken a significant lead over its rival MNF, with 27 seats compared to MNF’s ten.

Earlier today, Lalduhoma expressed his intention to meet Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati in the coming days to stake a claim to form the government. ZPM’s remarkable performance reflects the changing political landscape in Mizoram.
