Assam CM vows tough action against persons indulging in corrupt practices
Guwahati, 9th December: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reaffirmed the government’s determination to take strict action against individuals engaging in corrupt practices.
In a statement posted on platform X on International Anti-Corruption Day, CM Sarma wrote”For long has the nation been plagued by the vice of corruption with developmental works going for a toss and common people bearing the brunt of it until Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took over in 2014. On #InternationalAntiCorruptionDay, we reiterate our commitment towards anti-corruption and acting tough against anyone indulging in such acts”.
The government of Assam remains steadfast in its ongoing efforts to crackdown on corrupt practices and individuals involved in corruption.
Recognizing the global threat that corruption poses to social and economic development, the day serves as a reminder to encourage people to advocate for transparency and work collectively to eradicate this exploitative practice.
