Mizoram: Congress Conducts Meeting with Party Leaders to Evaluate Recent Assembly Election Performance
Northeast Desk, 9th December: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is presiding over a meeting with party leaders from Mizoram to evaluate the party’s performance in the recently concluded Assembly elections in the state.
Congress faced a setback, securing only one seat in the Mizoram assembly election. The Zoram People’s Movement, led by Lalduhoma, emerged victorious, clinching 27 seats, while the Mizo National Front (MNF) secured 10 seats.
Among the five states, Congress achieved success in only one state – Telangana, while the BJP dominated elections in three states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The party is now strategizing and reflecting on the electoral outcomes to enhance its future prospects.
