Guwahati, 11th December: In a dramatic turn of events, a notorious robber, identified as Lagan Sahani, was shot dead by the police in Assam’s Dergaon.
According to reports, Lagan Sahani had been apprehended by Dergaon Police on Sunday night. During subsequent search operations, Sahani allegedly attempted to attack the police in a bid to escape custody.
In response to the threat, the police opened fire, result in Sahani being fatally wounded. He was declared dead after sustaining gunshot injuries.
Lagan Sahani was known for his involvement in various criminal activities, as per reports.
