National Desk, 12th December: National Conference chief, Farooq Abdullah, criticized the Union government on December 12, alleging betrayal of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s verdict on Article 370.
Abdullah, visibly dejected, stated, “Let Jammu and Kashmir go to hell…They betrayed the people. They want to win people’s hearts. How’d you win that if you’d do such things to push people farther away?”
The remarks appeared to be fueled by frustration and anger in response to a reporter’s question about his feelings regarding the Supreme Court’s decision.
