Parliament Breach Aftermath: Delhi Police Out, CISF In? Security Shakeup On Horizon
National Desk, 21th December: In the aftermath of a significant security breach in Parliament, there are discussions about transferring security responsibilities from Delhi Police to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Government sources reveal that this proposal was discussed in a meeting attended by officials from Delhi Police, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), CISF, CRPF, and other concerned divisions. The potential change aims to enhance security, with a final decision expected after subsequent meetings next week.
The Lok Sabha Secretariat had earlier suspended eight security personnel following the December 13th breach, and individuals involved in the incident have been charged under the UAPA.
