Arunachal Pradesh’s Rising Stars Shine in National Football Arena
Northeast Desk, 22nd December: In a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh, three promising young footballers—Lingdum Yaro, Gunailu Tawsik, and Yumlam Lali—have been selected to attend the upcoming national U-19 women’s football tournament trials organized by the All India Football Federation. This significant event is scheduled to kick off in Goa from December 31.
The selection of these talented athletes follows their outstanding performance at the Hero National Junior Women’s Football Championship held in September, where their skills captured the attention of national selectors. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister took to his X handle to express his encouragement, urging the players to give their best and bring laurels to the state.
This achievement is not only a personal milestone for the players but also a reflection of the dedication and hard work put in by their coach and the overall team management. Kipa Ajay, the honorary secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA), extended his congratulations to the athletes and acknowledged the pivotal role played by the support staff in nurturing the players’ talents.
The selection of Lingdum Yaro, Gunailu Tawsik, and Yumlam Lali for the national trials serves as an inspiration for aspiring footballers in the region, highlighting the growing talent within Arunachal Pradesh’s football community. The trio’s journey to the national stage adds to the state’s emerging reputation as a hub for promising football talent.
