Rahul Gandhi Announces bus yatra from Manipur to Mumbai from January 14
National Desk, 27th December: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi is gearing up for an extensive bus yatra named the Bharat Nyay Yatra, scheduled to traverse approximately 6,200 kilometres across 14 states in India. Beginning in Manipur on January 14 and concluding in Mumbai on March 20, this journey follows the earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra, covering key national concerns related to economic, social, and political injustice.
The Bharat Nyay Yatra aims to facilitate direct interaction with citizens through both bus travel and short walking segments, known as padayatras. Rahul Gandhi’s commitment to such yatras underscores his dedication to fostering communal harmony and addressing the challenges faced by the nation.
The details of the route will be shared in due course, as stated by Congress leaders K.C. Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh during a press conference. Venugopal emphasized, “This Yatra is going to interact with youth, women, and marginalized people.”
Choosing Manipur as the starting point holds significance, with Venugopal noting that the state is an important part of the country, and the party aims to initiate the process of healing the wounds of the people of Manipur.
The Bharat Nyay Yatra is anticipated to serve as a platform for dialogue and engagement with the people, reflecting the Congress party’s ongoing efforts to connect with the populace and advocate for justice and equality.
