Guwahati, 30th December: In a tragic incident, a youth from Assam’s Baksa was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on December 29.
The deceased identified as Sujan Barman, had recently shifted from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad in pursuit of job opportunities.
Upon receiving the heartbreaking news of Sujan’s death, his younger brother, Sujit Barman, attempted suicide by consuming poison. Sujit is currently in critical condition and undergoing treatment in the ICU at Barpeta Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical Hospital.
The family, in a state of shock and grief, has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident, alleging foul play.
Seeking Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s intervention, the family is on its way to Gujarat to bring back Sujan’s body.
Expressing concern over such incidents, the youth committee of BTR Bengali Federation visited the bereaved family, emphasizing the need for a proper probe and urging authorities to uncover the circumstances surrounding Sujan Barman’s death.
