Sikkim: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Visits state for Strategic Credit Outreach
Northeast Desk, 6th Jan: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived at Bagdogra airport in Sikkim on January 6 for a three-day visit. The visit is part of several strategic credit outreach programs on her itinerary.
During her stay, Sitharaman is scheduled to participate in a Credit Outreach Programme organized by the State Bank of India at Manan Kendra, Gangtok. Additionally, she will visit the border village of Kupup on January 7 to take part in another Credit Outreach Programme organized by NABARD.
The Union Minister’s visit aims to strengthen financial initiatives and outreach in the region. She was welcomed at Bagdogra Airport by officials from the Finance Department of the Government of Sikkim, SBI, NABARD, and the Home Department Protocol Unit, Siliguri.
